You will arrive at the Muscat International Airport. Upon your arrival you proceed straight to the Immigration. Immigration & customs are quick & simple. Upon arrival at the General arrival lounge you will be met by our friendly & efficient AFAQ Travel & Tourism chauffer who will assist you to the comforts of our vehicle to drive you the hotel.
Overnight stay at Muscat Hotel
Around 0800 hrs you will be met by your tour guide and driver who will escort you to the comforts of our 4 wheel drive to embark on a soft adventurous trip to the great desert of Oman. You will drive through small villages and towns before arriving at Wadi Bani Khalid driving through the mountain offering a panoramic view of the beautiful landscape below. You will pass many pretty villages embedded in the mountains. Here the road winds down to the wadi alongside a large, shallow pool fringed with vegetation & ends at a village. We park our vehicles at this point & continue on a short trek to the deep blue pools of the wadi. If you wish you may enjoy a swim in this glorious grace of nature. It is recommended to wear comfortable clothes & walking shoes for this trip.
Picnic will be served at the Wadi bani Khalid After lunch continue drive to the great desert of Oman Known as the “Wahiba Sands”. Soon you will come face to face with the enormous desert and our experienced drivers drive you through the sand dunes to give you a thrill of dune driving.
After having enjoyed the drives over the lovely dunes you could perhaps meet the Bedouin family to know more about their life style in the desert.Thereafter you will bid goodbye to the inhabitants of the desert to drive to reach the campsite
Buffet Dinner and Overnight in Camp
After breakfast leave the camp to Qahid crossing wahiba sands driving bobbing off the dunes. It takes 4 hours to cross the desert.
Reach Qahid and continue drive to Shannah, the way is flanked by one side the azure of Arabian sea and on the other side tapestry of desert dunes.
After lunch, take your ferry to the Island. It takes an hour and half to reach Masirah Island.
Masirah (65 KMs long and between 08 to 17 KM wide), is located 15 KM off the southeast coast of Oman in the Arabian Peninsula with miles of isolated sandy beaches. The island is famous for wind surfing and known for aquatic visitors such as the turtles that come to lay their eggs on its stretch of beaches and a number of migratory birds some of exotic being the egrets, curlews and the greater flamingos.
Note: Ferry will be subject to weather condition, ebb tide/high tide.
Reach Masirah before sunset
Dinner and overnight at Masirah Island Resort.
Masirah Island Resort is situated on the borders of the breeding grounds of the Turtles, make it a perfect destination for nature lovers. Also for travelers with an edge for edge for adventure with umpteen nautical sports to choose from.
After breakfast explore the stretch of the endless beach where you find scores of wrecked ships, skeletons and bones of dolphins, whales, turtles birds, camels and countless other creatures what live and die in the wild place. Afternoon at leisure on the beach

Dinner and Overnight at the Masirah Hotel
After breakfast leave for the mainland once again by ferry.
From Shannah drive Nizwa via Mahoot and Sinaw. Visit the Sinaw Souq en route. Local lunch.
Arrive Nizwa and check in Nizwa Hotel.
Rest of the day is at leisure.

Morning tour of the Oasis city of Nizwa, the capital of Julanda Dynasty in the 6th and 7th Century AD. Today it remains an important tourist attraction with its historical buildings and imposing fort. Visit the impressive 17th century fort with its enormous round tower built by Imam Sultan Bin Saif Al Ya’aruba to defend the route to the interior. The fort dominates the entire area, with the town having grown up around it. From here proceed to Nizwa souq which is renowned for its intricately hand-carved “Khanjar” and ornately designed silver jewellery. On Friday, a unique goat and cattle auction is held and the atmosphere here is electric.
Continue to Misfah (approximately 45 minutes from Nizwa) a village in the mountains, where the houses cling to the rocks, and although they look precarious have been here for centuries. After a short walk through the village return to your vehicle and continue the journey to Jabel Shams (30 minutes drive) the highest peak in Oman at over 3,000 meters. Jabel Shams,know in ancient times as Jabel Al Qanah, means “Mountain of the Sun” and the area is home to weavers of heavy woollen rugs in distinctive colours. Lunch will be at the Jabel Shams camp. After spending some more time at Jabel Shams, drive back to Muscat .Overnight in Muscat Hotel.(approximately 1 and a half hours).
The tour begins with a visit to the beautiful Sultan Qaboos Grand Mosque one of the largest mosques in the Middle East. Visit the Natural History Museum, exhibiting the wealth of Oman’s history and thus imparting knowledge about the country’s rich culture and traditions to the visitor. Later you drive along the picturesque Corniche to the once walled district Muscat. You will have photo stops at the residence of his Majesty Sultan Qaboos, the Al Alam Palace, which is flanked by the 16th century Portuguese forts Mirani and Jalali. You will be strolling through Muttrah Souq, where you will be bargaining for handicrafts and silver items.

Departure transfers to Airport to connect the flight back home.
