Nizwa, the former capital city of Oman, is a fertile sea of green with an oasis of date plantations stretching 8kms from the town. Today, Nizwa is still the largest and most important town in this area of the interior and is noted for its 17th century fort and atmospheric souks full of silversmiths’ art, especially ornately engraved Khanjars.

  • Clothes that are light and will protect you from the sun.(shoulders and knees should be covered)

Day 1 : Muscat – Nizwa – Jebrin Castle – Bahla – Muscat
After breakfast in hotel you will meet the Omani Guide at 8:00am . The drive take around 1.5 hours toward Nizwa, where  Nizwa city is famous for its history, culture and heritage. We spend spend some times exploring some of the many highlights of the surrounding area. We begin in Nizwa itself, visiting the traditional and modern souk. We continue onto the 17th century fort, built to guard the Sumail Gap during the struggle between the Sultan and the radical Imams. Nizwa was the center of Imam resistance right up until the 1950s.After that we will move go to see Falaj Daress and back to have tradional food in Omani restaurant or have our picnic lunch and the we will move to muscat and in the way will visit the old village of Birkat Al Mouz and see some of the old omani houses and construction and will back in Muscat around 4pm.
