DAY 1: Arrival in Muscat – Transfer to Hotel

Itinerary: You will arrive at the Muscat International Airport. Upon arrival you will be met by our friendly & efficient AFAQ Travel & Tourism chauffeur who will assist you to the comforts of our vehicle to drive you to the your hotel. Overnight stay at 4* Hotel in Muscat.

DAY 2: Muscat - Bimmah Sink Hole - Wadi Shab (Hiking & Swimming Sight) – Ras al Hadd – Turtle watching by night tour

Itinerary: Pick up 9.00 a.m. You will depart from Muscat to travel south towards the Quriyat Region. After travelling just a few kilometers you will find yourselves absorbed in an almost lunar world where unreal mountains dominate the view. You will continue to the mountainous landscape arriving at the dramatic Bimmah Sinkhole. Once you are refreshed you will continue travelling and arrive at Wadi Shab (Wadi meaning valley between cliffs). Upon arrival at Wadi Shab you will transfer to a small fishing boat to be taken across the wadi to enable you to start your journey. The word breathtaking hardly does it justice. You will walk through the amazing canyon, until you arrive at the wadi which leads to the Keyhole. Here you can relax; take a dip in the pools. You will have the opportunity to swim through a pool of crystal clear water and dive through a narrow keyhole, inside you will find a magnificent cave, complete with an incredible waterfall. Our next stop for lunch at a restaurant to try the local cuisine Post will travel to the traditional city of 'Sur' and check in hotel. You will have time to relax at the hotel. Dinner will be served at 7:30 before a drive to Ras Al Jinz to see the turtles at around 9:00 pm. whilst we are very successful in sighting turtles, there is no guarantees as it is a natural phenomenon. You will finish the tour at 11:00pm and travel back to the resort for an overnight. Overnight in Ras al Hadd.

DAY 3: Sur – Sur Dhow factory - Wadi Bani Khalid (Swimming & walking sight) – Wahiba Desert – Dune Bashing – Sunset from Dunes

Itinerary: After breakfast at the hotel, you will depart on an exciting 4wd journey through the mountains. Your first stop will be Wadi Bani Khalid, one of Oman’s most beautiful wadis. The wadi has clear deep blue water and counts among the few wadis of Oman that hold water all year round. From the mountain springs, the water is led to the oasis where it sustains the typical date palms. Post lunch you will travel to Wahiba Sands which is famous for its multicolored sand which varies from black to honey-golden and even to white. In the heart of the golden sands of Sharqiyah Desert nestled amongst stunning and ever changing patterns of dunes, is the Arabian Oryx Camp. The camp offers a luxurious Bedouin style air conditioned accommodation and a variety of complimentary toiletries. The location of the camp in the wilderness of the desert, emphasizes the beauty of the golden sand dunes surrounding it. You will be made to feel welcome with warmth and kindness of the Omani Hospitality.. After an adrenaline fueled 4WD safari across 150-metre dunes and with a spectacular view of the sunset, you will be ready to experience the delicious Arabic Cuisine, splendor and live entertainment the camp has to offer. Whilst you sit around a camp fire under the starry sky, you will be able to look back over your day and appreciate the once in a life time experience. (Overnight at Desert Camp)

DAY 4 : Bedouin House Visit – Birkat al Mauz – Jebel Akhdar Mountain – Back to Nizwa

Itinerary: After an early breakfast at the desert camp, you will depart on an exciting 4wd journey through the desert and visit the local bedouin house and have Omani Coffee. You will enjoy their traditional ways of hospitality. Next you will also we will depart for Jebel Akhdar also known as Green Mountain. On the way, we will stop by at Birkat Al Mauz and have an opportunity to walk in the middle of palm plantation at the foot of Green mountain. your next visit the Post this, we will start ascending journey to Jebel Akhdar Mountains. This mountain offers discovery and adventure. We will experience and witness nature’s primordial beauty seen in the soaring peeks and plunging canyon along with the rise of terraces on extremely steep mountain slopes. There is a trek that goes from one village to another through the terraces and along the falaj system. There is a splendid view of the hanging terraces. Post this you will travel back to nizwa for Overnight stay. (Overnight stay in Hotel in Nizwa) (Traditional Hotel)

DAY 5: Nizwa fort – Nizwa souq – Misfah – Hamra – Jebel shams

Itinerary: After breakfast and check-out from hotel, You can enjoy the early morning sunrise from green mountains. We will start our journey to cultural capital Nizwa. Your first stop will be at the spectacular Nizwa Fort with its massive Circular Cannon Tower, one of the most impressive forts in Oman. You will also visit the Nizwa traditional Souq. The Souq is a lively place and an ideal location to purchase handicrafts and souvenirs. Your Next stop will be, Misfat Al Abriyeen, set in a stunning landscape above terraced plantations of date palms. This is a rare sight in Oman as most palms are grown on the plains. The ancient houses and ruined watchtower perched on the mountain complete the scene. You will then proceed to Al Hamra, The oldest villages in Oman with clay houses dating back up to 400 years. After enjoying lunch your experience continues through the untamed and rugged countryside. After enjoying lunch your experience continues continue your journey to the top of Jebel Shams, “Sun Mountain”, Oman’s highest peak at 3009 meters. The cooler temperatures will surprise as you reach the top to get a spectacular view of the “Grand Canyon”. Sleeping in high altitude will get you closer to the stars. Overnight at Jebel Shams.

Day 6: Jebel Shams – Wadi bani Awf – Nakhal Fort/Al Ghasham Museum – Muscat

Itinerary: Pick up 8.30 a.m.  You will depart your hotel and proceed towards, Wadi Bani Awf taking a stunning and exhilarating trip over the mountains. Deep in Oman’s countryside are many villages that still retain their traditional charm. Perhaps the most appealing of these is Bilad Sayt, a tranquil hamlet tucked away in the mountains. Later we drive along the Nakhal Fort. This 17th Century Fort has some stunning views from the battlements. It highlights the prime position this fort used to command and is really worth the climb. After an impressive cultural day it will time to travel start heading towards Muscat. Post tour we will drop you at the Hotel. Overnight stay at 4* Hotel in Muscat.

DAY 7: Half Day Muscat City Tour

Itinerary: Pick up 08.30 a.m. You will depart from hotel & you will be met by our guide and the city tour begins with a visit Grand Mosque Muscat. Next you will visit picturesque Muttrah Corniche and visit Muttrah Souq which retains the chaotic interest of a traditional Arab market albeit housed under modern timber roofing. You will stroll through the Souq, where you will have the chance to buy Omani specialties like Frankincense, Omani daggers. You will also be able to enjoy a moment along the corniche admiring the various cruise ships on the water at Mina Al Sultan Qaboos Port. You will then visit Bait Al Zubair Museum. The Museum tour will provide you with a wealth of information about the country’s structure, tradition and heritage. Then it will be time to have a photo stop at the official residence of his Majesty Sultan Qaboos Bin Said, The Al Alam Palace, which is flanked by the 16th century Portuguese forts of Mirani and Jalali. From the Palace, you will travel through the old town, here you will pass some of the original houses. Overnight stay at 4* Hotel in Muscat.

DAY 8: Airport Drop and Departure

Itinerary: After amazing days tour its time for departure. Our guide will drop you at Muscat international airport for departure.
