DAY 1: Arrive in Muscat – Transfer to the hotel

Itinerary: You will arrive at the Muscat International Airport. Upon arrival you will be met by our friendly & efficient AFAQ Travel & Tourism chauffeur who will assist you to the comforts of our vehicle to drive you to the hotel. Overnight in 4 * Hotel in the capital, Muscat.

DAY 2: Half day Visit of Muscat city

Itinerary : Pick up at 08.30 AM from the Hotel. Post that your city tour will begins. Your city tour begins with a visit to the beautiful Sultan Qaboos Grand Mosque, one of the largest mosques in the Middle East, the only mosque open to non-Muslims and expatriates in Oman. Later you drive to visit Mutrah fish Market. After you will visit Bait Al Zubair Museum. When you leave the Museum tour you will be satisfied with the wealth of information you have learnt about the country's structure, tradition and heritage. You will then have a photo stop at the official residence of his Majesty the Al Alam Palace, which is flanked by the 16th century Portuguese forts of Mirani and Jalali. Following this you will travel along the picturesque Muttrah Corniche and visit Muttrah Souq which retains the chaotic interest of a traditional Arab market albeit housed under modern timber roofing. You will also be able to enjoy a moment along the corniche admiring the various cruise ships on the water at Mina Al Sultan Qaboos Port. From the Palace, you will proceed to Hotel. Overnight stay at 4* Hotel in Muscat

DAY 3: Muscat - Nakhal Fort - Wadi Bani Awf (off roading through Mountains) - Jebel Shams Grand Canyon

Itinerary : Pick up 8.30 a.m. The day will start with a visit to Nakhal Fort. This 17th Century Fort has some stunning views from the battlements. It highlights the prime position this fort used to command and is really worth the climb. Nakhal is an old Omani village. It lies at the foothills of the mountains near an abundant source of water, which irrigates extensive date palm plantations. Next you will travel to Wadi Bani Awf taking a stunning and exhilarating trip over the mountains. Deep in Oman’s countryside are many villages that still retain their traditional charm. Perhaps the most appealing of these is Bilad Sayt, a tranquil hamlet tucked away in the mountains. The road, or should I say track, is steep but worth the trip. Continue your journey to the top of Jebel Shams, “Sun Mountain”, Oman’s highest peak at 3009 meters. The cooler temperatures will surprise as you reach the top to get a spectacular view of the “Grand Canyon”. Sleeping in high altitude will get you closer to the stars. Overnight at Jebel Shams.

DAY 4: Jebel Shams - Tanuf Village - Walk to Misfah - Visit of Al Hamra - Bahla - Jabreen Castle - Nizwa

Itinerary : After an early rise breakfast in the morning we will visit the grand canyon. Your first stop will be, Tanuf village photostop. Post that you will continue to Misfat Al Abriyeen, set in a stunning landscape above terraced plantations of date palms. This is a rare sight in Oman as most palms are grown on the plains. The ancient houses and ruined watchtower perched on the mountain complete the scene. You will then proceed to Al Hamra, The oldest villages in Oman with clay houses dating back up to 400 years. Here you will also visit the old village where you can see the ancient mud houses. The view point will give you the opportunity to take a great picture of Oman’s natural beauty. Post this proceed towards Bahla, one of the oldest small towns of Oman and in the 12th century the capital of the tribe living in the region. As the monumental fort is closed for renovation only a photo stop is planned. Bahla is also famous for its pottery. Later this you will proceed to Jabreen Palace/Castle where the visitor is able to capture the medieval atmosphere and view the beautiful hand painted ceilings and carved door frames. After a cultural day you will be back to Hotel in Nizwa.

DAY 5: Nizwa fort & Souq - Birkat Al Mauz Oasis - Jebel Akhdar

Itinerary : After an early rise breakfast in the morning we will visit spectacular Nizwa Fort with its massive Circular Cannon Tower, one of the most impressive forts in Oman. The fort is a museum today and offers splendid views of this ancient town and the surrounding mountains. You can walk around in this impressive fortress and visit its many rooms, passages and towers. Later visit the Nizwa traditional Souq. The Souq is a lively place and an ideal location to purchase handicrafts and souvenirs. A wide variety of vendors offer their goods in the streets of the souk from 05:00 am to about 10:00 am each morning. Here you can find fish, meat, vegetables, pottery, jewelry, handicrafts and souvenirs which are sold in authentic old market halls that few places can boast. Especially interesting is the Friday cattle market, when the locals from the nearby Villages come to sell their donkeys, goats, cattle, sheep and chickens in a circus style open market place. Next you will also we will depart for Jebel Akhdar also known as Green Mountain. On the way, we will stop by at Birkat Al Mauz and have an opportunity to walk in the middle of palm plantation at the foot of Green mountain. your next visit the Post this, we will start ascending journey to Jebel Akhdar Mountains. This mountain offers discovery and adventure. We will experience and witness nature’s primordial beauty seen in the soaring peeks and plunging canyon along with the rise of terraces on extremely steep mountain slopes. There is a trek that goes from one village to another through the terraces and along the falaj system. There is a splendid view of the hanging terraces. Post this you will check in to hotel in Jebel Akhdar.

DAY 6: Jebel Akhdar - Ibra - Wahiba Sands desert – Dune Bashing & Sunset from Dunes

After breakfast, check-out from the hotel, You will resume the journey towards Ibra, It is Al Mudayrib and Ibra for a closer look at the watch towers proudly looking over the villages from top of the hills.. Post that we will start your journey to Wahiba Sands. In the heart of the golden sands of Sharqiyah Desert nestled among stunning and ever changing patterns of sand dunes, is the Arabian Oryx Camp. Here you will find a luxurious Bedouin style tent. After settling into the camp you will be offered the amazing experience of dune bashing, with a spectacular view of the sunset. Followed by delicious Arabic Cuisine along with live entertainment whilst you sit under a starry sky around a Camp Fire this truly is a once in a lifetime experience. Overnight in the desert Camp.

DAY 7: Desert - Wadi bani Khalid – Sur Dhow factory – Al Ayjah village - Ras al jinz Turtle reserve

Itinerary: After an early breakfast at the desert camp, you will depart on an exciting 4wd journey through the desert and visit the local bedouin house and have Omani Coffee. You will enjoy their traditional ways of hospitality. Our next stop will be Wadi Bani Khalid, one of Oman’s most beautiful wadis. The wadi has clear deep blue water and counts among the few wadis of Oman that hold water all year round. From the mountain springs, the water is led to the oasis where it sustains the typical date palms. The pretty villages of Wadi Bani Khalid cling precariously to the rugged mountainside. After lunch you will travel to the traditional city of 'Sur' and your next stop will be at traditional Dhow building factory, where they use to build Arabian dhows the traditional way. You will have time to relax at the hotel. Dinner will be served at 7:30 before a drive to Ras Al Jinz to see the turtles at around 9:00 pm. Whilst we are very successful in sighting turtles, there is no guarantees as it is a natural phenomenon. You will finish the tour at 11:00pm and travel back to the resort for an overnight. . Post this back to the hotel for overnight stay.

DAY 8: Sur – Wadi Tiwi - Wadi Shab walking & Swimming – Wadi tiwi Guest House

Itinerary: Pick up 8.30 a.m. You will depart from Sur hotel to travel south towards the wadi tiwi side. Your next stop will be Wagi Tiwi, Wadi Tiwi, which is named after Tiwi village at the coast, is a truly beautiful wadi with the lush plantations giving it a different (certainly greener) feel than many other wadis. Post that you can continue to Wadi Shab (Wadi meaning valley between cliffs). Upon arrival at Wadi Shab you will transfer to a small fishing boat to be taken across the wadi to enable you to start your journey. The word breathtaking hardly does it justice. You will walk through the amazing canyon, until you arrive at the wadi which leads to the Keyhole. Here you can relax; take a dip in the pools. You will have the opportunity to swim through a pool of crystal clear water and dive through a narrow keyhole, inside you will find a magnificent cave, complete with an incredible waterfall. After enjoying walking and swimming, you will be travel to the beach front guests House.

DAY 9: Finns - Sink Hole - Wadi Ál Arbeieen – Muscat

Itinerary: After early morning breakfast, you can relax at the beach for few mins. Post that, you will start from wadi shab resort and your first stop will be bimmah sink hole. After travelling just a few kilometers you will find yourselves absorbed in an almost lunar world where unreal mountains dominate the view. You will continue to the mountainous landscape arriving at the dramatic Bimmah Sinkhole. Post that, you will travel to Wadi Ál Arbeieen. After travelling just a few kilometers you will find yourselves absorbed in an almost lunar world where unreal mountains dominate the view. Heading off road we will proceed to the Wadi Ál Arbeieen, a stupendous canyon with tall mountainous walls covered with lush vegetation, where the course of the water has created little green-blue ponds and swimming pools. Here you will have the opportunity to take endless photos, to visit a typical Omani village where the rhythm of a simple daily life has remained uninfluenced by modern ways. Local inhabitants are always cordial and hospitable and the children will greet you with their touching smiles. Once you refreshed, you will start your journey towards Muscat.

DAY 10: Airport Drop - Departure

Itinerary: After amazing days tour its time for departure. Our guide will drop you at Muscat international airport for departure.
